I am looking for a loader (new or used) for a Kubota L-245DT. Any ideas where to look and who to contact? Also I'm trying to find out the year of this tractor, the serial number is L245DT60966. This tractor is in good shape and the owner is asking $3500. It is 4wd. with ag. tires in good cond. manual trans. and manual steering. It has a 3 speed rear PTO.& 3 point hitch, no attachments. Is this price about right? I plan on using it with a loader and box scraper.

Dave, Is the tractor a L245DT-2 4wd ? The serial # sequence 60966 indicates it is a 1980 L245DT-2 and the avg. auction price for this model is $6399. Where as a L245DT 1980 model is avg. auction price is $5239. Hope this helps.

Bruce, The L245DT is 4WD. the ag tires are in great shape wear wise but it has been sitting for some time and the tires are slightly cracked. The tractor does have some problems like it needs a new compression release cable and minor sheetmetal work around the grill area and lights, as well as a coat of paint. Butt it sure runs smooth and shifts great, no grinding or noises in the tranny. I would like to buy it if I can find a loader for it and I'd like to put a ROPS on it if I can find one. ....

Sorry to break your balls Len, but Kelley loaders are garbage. A neighbor has one mounted on an L245, It's poor design is highlighted by the spray painted stenciled letters, reading "KABOTA". Try a local Bush Hog dealer, or give me an email. ....
